Well, if i had to work towards becoming like any illustrator, it would most certainly be Rick.
I admire Ricks work for his variety. How he created album covers for bands such as The Grateful Dead, Cult and Jackson Browne. Yet at the same time produced Surf Art work and Concert posters!
In the latter part of 1970 Rick became a Christian and diverted a lot of his work in this direction exposing his fine art side.
In 1991 Rick was killed in a motorcycle accident in California.
